REPORT ON A BORING DAY.

Listen to “REPORT ON A BORING DAY”

I woke up in the same city, in the same house, in the same bed. It has been quite a while since I stopped working out but that is not news. None of this is—news. I just come here to spew whatever is in my mind out of habit.

Anyway, I woke up, went to the bathroom did my business both number one and two. Considering we are one—I am not reserving my thoughts, Should I? Maybe I should. Anyway, I washed my face. I forgot to brush my teeth. I looked at the clock—It was four in the morning. I figured it was better to have coffee—for no specific reason, as I was already awake. I had nothing productive to do. So I did. I made the coffee and drank it. I love the smell of coffee.

I went to the TV and put on my headphones—there are call-of-duty players in other parts of the globe who are not working or going to school—and put on the game. Before I realized how long I played, the time was four in the afternoon. It’s funny how time flies when you are unproductive. You know how I feel enormously hungry when I play video games, so I went to the kitchen and made myself a peanut butter jelly sandwich and devoured it before leaving the kitchen counter.

What else did I do? yes—so, to keep the trend of killing time for the rest of the day—well, what was left of it—I started browsing for a proper movie to watch. I found a movie that seemed like it was capable of giving me some positive uplifting moral to change my life, but then, I can’t remember what it was about now. I think it was about an old grumpy man about to die and died anyway.

The amazing thing I came to talk to you about is this; If I consider this day a boring day. What would that dude from the farm say about his life? Think about it. I would consider his diary would read like this:

“Dear diary, I woke up in the same city, on the same farm, in the same three yesterday. What a boring life I have. I had to wake up early to milk the cows—as I always do. As if milking the cows that early on a weekend, was not enough one of the sheep ended up dead because of some illness, I hope it was not contagious—but there is no way to know for sure now. Yes, then I had to dig the ground and bury it of course.

What else? I have been delivering milk to people at their homes. Most of them are very nice, some are old and grumpy. I feel sorry for the old and grumpy and I feel happy and thankful I have very nice people to deliver the milk to. And now I am sitting and chilling on this three. I plan to stay here until dinner time and watch the sun go down as the stars start to shine. Same old boring day.”

Can you see the irony of life? I would love to move to the farm, and the other person wants to move to the city. I leave you with one thought—my dear diary—if I am going to spend the next day the same as today, I will take you and move to a new apartment because I need a fresh start. I can’t keep on living like a cattle. Eating, playing games, shiting, and sleeping.

  1. Interesting read,

But I did not like the content as it is against contentment. I view life as simple and you are responsible to keep yourself as happy as possible in your situation. If you whish big scenes in your days so that you are happy, then you are not thanking God for the basic things he cherished you called life itself and its immediate blessings such as the opportunity to work, the Call of Duty games and visit/meet other beloved creatures called humans. It is better to start life happy at your circle or locale and then only if it becomes possible to dream or move into changes in life. That, my friend is life as we know it. Or else, there is a captivity of negativity where you hate your days and illusion of other grandeur days deserved for you. But I loved the reading as it is fascinatingly wrote or narrated.
